North Carolina private employers added 5,700 jobs from April to May, and commerce analysts estimate there were 10,000 more employed persons in that same time.
The unemployment rate actually increased, the first month-over-month increase in more than a year, but that has more to do with how the rate is calculated, than a fair snapshot of the overall economy.
