Silicon Valley-based ride-share service Uber is expanding in North Carolina. Specifically the service, which is already available in Raleigh, expands to six cities, including Durham and Chapel Hill.

The concept is pretty simple – it’s an app that connects you to an Uber driver who can take you from point A to point B.

And the company says it’s a cheaper option than a taxicab.

It’s not, however, the only option, as another Silicon Valley player, Lyft, entered the market earlier this year.
