  • CEO: Changes are coming at the merged VantageSouth-Yadkin

    VantageSouth is officially no more.

    The Raleigh company has combined with Elkin-based Yadkin Financial to form the largest community bank in North Carolina.

    But you wouldn’t know it driving down Creedmoor on Monday in Raleigh.

    The sign still stands.

  • bioMérieux to break ground on Durham expansion

    About 18 months after it announced it would invest $48 million and add 44 jobs, diagnostics company bioMérieux has plans to break ground in Durham.

    The French-based life sciences company received $400,000 from Durham County in February 2013 and a $200,000 grant from the state a month before. But it has been relatively quiet about the expansion since then.

    On July 9, that will change.
